The MSC Academy program provides advanced training and game opportunities for players who seek a higher level of soccer competition. An overall higher level of commitment is needed for Academy soccer as there is more training sessions and sometimes more travel for games.
The Academy program is run by a paid MSC staff coach and is for 7-10 year old players (U8-U10). Building a solid foundation of technical skills and love for the game are priorities as we prepare our Academy players to participate in Select level soccer once they reach U11.
Our MSC Select teams are our club's highest competitive level teams. The Select program is designed for athletes who want to elevate their game while preparing for high school level soccer and beyond. Teams are led by experienced, paid staff coaches who provide advanced training and game opportunities for our players. MSC teams participate in regional and state level divisions for league play.
Our Recreational soccer teams provide an opportunity for players of all skill levels to have fun, learn soccer, and develop a lifelong love of the game. It is our goal to develop kids who not only possess quality soccer skills, but to build strong character through sportsmanship and teamwork. Our dedicated volunteer (usually parent) coaches strive to create an enjoyable environment while teaching both basic and advanced soccer skills.
The U6 Futures Training Program is an in-house program with Milwaukee Sport Club players (no league games against other communities). It is designed to teach physical and technical skills through play. Sessions are designed to promote listening, coordination, decision making, and teamwork. We advance towards playing and learning the rules of the 4v4 soccer game played at U7-U8. The program is designed and coached by MSC staff coach Fred Hostetler.
This program is run on Monday nights in the Fall and Spring. Sessions are 55 minutes and the plan to offer both a 5-6PM and a 6-7PM training time if there is enough interest. Across the calendar year there are roughly 16-18 training sessions.
The Mikro Program is an introductory soccer program carefully designed to teach young players foundational soccer skills such as passing, dribbling, and shooting through creative games. Each Mikro training session is built to ensure kiddos develop coordination, teamwork skills, and learn basic soccer skills to comfortably advance into our recreational soccer program.
The Mikro Program is a seasonal 6 week course taught once a week for 60 minutes, in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Lead coaches and developing coaches are highly trained in coaching our Mikro participants. Players should come dressed to play with sneakers/cleats and a size 3 soccer ball. A Mikro soccer jersey is included in the price of registration and a ball is available for purchase during the registration process.
